Sam Van Damme (software engineer) and Nick Verheyden (festival organizer) founded Eventication 4 years ago. Together they created what is now the foundation of our platform which allows event organizers to fully manage planning and volunteers. In a big milestone, we have now completely overhauled the look of this platform used by dozens of festivals, making it even easier and less time-consuming.

As the platform grew over the past 4 years, more features were continuously being built. At some point complexity became and issue, so it was time for us to take some time and rethink the tool from the ground up.

Led by our third (design) cofounder Tim Van Damme (Instagram, Dropbox), we went on an offsite and spent a couple of days doing a design exercise, rethinking the overall hierarchy and user experience of our entire platform. We left the offsite with a solid system to not just make some dramatic changes to the current interface, but to prepare us for all the future features we'll add too.

Up next, design and engineering went to work implementing all of the changes, and the result is something we're deeply proud of. It is now a lot easier to find what you need in Eventication, and to orient yourself wherever you've navigated to. Features sit in modules and sub-modules, exactly where you expect them to be.

This exercise wasn't just about applying a new look to the tool, it was about putting our users first, and bringing the interface closer to our now well-known brand.

Late January 2021, we released Eventication V2 to the world and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Customers and their own internal teams immediately grasped impact of the changes, and were even able to collaborate better inside the tool.

The Accreditation, Planning and Stock modules can now be used separately, but the true power of Eventication will always be the combination of them all, helping customers have a better overview of their operational activities and save considerable amounts of time running their events.
