Hey there, event planners and festival enthusiasts! When it comes to orchestrating epic events and festivals, the spotlight is often on the headliners, the stage, and the animation. But have you ever considered the star power of volunteers?
Embracing volunteers can bring numerous benefits to your event, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved. In this blog post, we'll explore three reasons why events and festivals should make use of volunteers, while also addressing three potential challenges.
Behind every dazzling festival that captivates attendees with its music, art, and performances, there exists a world that few get to witness – the backstage realm. While festivalgoers revel in the festivities, it's the backstage crew that ensures the seamless execution of every event. Among the crucial components of backstage management, one often underappreciated yet undeniably vital aspect is backstage accreditation. In this blog post, we delve into the significance of backstage accreditation at festivals, shedding light on its essential role in creating memorable experiences for all.
If you are interested in staying up-to-date about new features, we invite you to read our release notes.
Over the past couple of months we’ve released a slew of new features. One new feature in particular deserves a closer look…
As you know, the goal of Eventication is to always save our customers time (and the stress that comes with wasting time). This is why we always try to think one step ahead about how we can optimize the operation of our customers’ events even more.
Eventication has come together with dozens of Brussels-based venues, festivals and promoters to raise funds for the people of Ukraine. The entire scene is joining forces to organise an iconic event at the Atomium, Belgium’s most symbolic location.
Eventication stands for peace and equality. When the Brussels Scene asked us to join forces for this iconic event, we didn't hesitate for a second. says Sam Van Damme co-founder of Eventication
We all battle with paperwork and Excel spreadsheets, Google Docs, forms... Wouldn't it be nice if we didn't have to do that?
Read on to find a better way.
2021 is gradually coming to an end.
It will be a year we will not soon forget with ups and downs.
Eventication has definitely faced all kinds of challenges, our team worked hard to exceed the day to day expectations of our customers...
After a very quiet 2020, followed by a short (but powerful) 2021 festival period, let's take a moment to go over some the new updates and features Eventication has for you.
It's quite an extensive list, so let's try to keep it short. Feel free to contact us if you want more information about a certain feature, update or module. That said, let's dive in...
Our new text messaging (SMS) module can help your event grow through messaging. You can use the module to alert suppliers, artists, press, volunteers, … when stock items are not returned, answer frequently asked questions, send briefings, or create operational automations to send messages when pre-set conditions are met.
At Eventication, security has always been one of our highest priorities. Encouraging users to pick strong passwords is still the first line of defence for their accounts.
In recent months we have talked a lot with our customers to see how we could make their lives easier.
We wouldn't be Eventication if we didn't get to work with all this input. But as it usually is the case with us, we have gone that extra mile.
Dear Alexander,
(I hope I can say Alexander)
As you have probably noticed here and there, the event and cultural sector has been without work for almost a year.
Sam Van Damme (software engineer) and Nick Verheyden (festival organizer) founded Eventication 4 years ago. Together they created what is now the foundation of our platform which allows event organizers to fully manage planning and volunteers. In a big milestone, we have now completely overhauled the look of this platform used by dozens of festivals, making it even easier and less time-consuming.
What does a start-up do when everything got cancelled?
What is a team of event maniacs doing when there is nothing to do?
Read all about it in this blogpost.
After Corona hit the world hard, who knew we would be able to attend at least 1 festival this summer?! Well, it happened. Eventication is proud to be the software of choice for this festival, and introduced a brand new check-in system.

Every event is entitled to a decent planning software. A lot of events still too often use spreadsheets to manage their volunteer/crew planning. Mainly because they think event software is too expensive… Think again! Read more about our free planning module!
We are currently facing the biggest challenge ever for eventing. The whole industry is suffering and nobody really knows how and when this will end. One thing is sure, this virus will have a major impact and will change our world as we know it today.
